Streets of San Francisco: Season Four, Vol. 2

You Can't Beat "The Streets..." for some good Crime Drama
I've been a huge fan of "The Streets Of San Francisco" since the 70's when it first aired. Since CBS DVD decided to put it out on DVD I've been collecting them all, and so far no disc has left me disappointed. Season Four Vol 2 is certainly no exception! The stories as always are well written, and the scenery is great, San Fran in the 70's was a gritty place and it fit most of the stories quite well. I bought S4V1 at the same time and feel the same way about that disc. CBS DVD always does a great job with the picture and sound quality, both are great. There is graininess in the opening sequence of this show, but that is do to all of the special effects used in it, I'd imagine that several generations of film were used in the opening and the quality just could not be maintained. The shows themselves look pristine though. Thank you CBS for releasing the rest of the series after such a long wait! Now I still have to get S5, even though it will be without Michael Douglas.

Great detective series in gorgeous San Francisco
This 3DVD set is volume two of the 4th season (1975-1976) of the wonderful TV series The Streets of San Francisco. It starred two terrific actors, the powerful Karl Malden and handsome young Michael Douglas, the latter on the verge of movie stardom (this would be his last season on the show). The backdrop of San Francisco with all its beautiful scenery & sights was truly breathtaking. The following is a list of episodes in this set, along with their guest stars:

Disc 1

Spooks For Sale - Andrew Robinson, Fritz Weaver
Most Likely To Succeed - Kristoffer Tabori, Patricia Smith
Police Buff - Bill Bixby, Christopher Stone
The Honorable Profession - Robert Reed, Shelly Novack

Disc 2

Requiem For Murder - Richard Basehart, Fionnuala Flanagan
Underground - Jason Evers, Claudia Jennings
Judgment Day - Lynnette Mettey, Michael Burns
Clown of Death - David Birney, Madlyn Rhue

Disc 3

Superstar - Paul...

John
